Claire and Andrews wedding at the Waterside Hotel was a last minute booking for me. Their photographer Alan Watson contacted me to see if I could fill in. It is unusual for me when doing an all day wedding not to have met the couple beforehand, normally we meet about a month before the wedding to go through everything. So truthfully I was slightly nervous, even more so when I went in and spoke to Claire and she hadn’t viewed my work. I need not have worried, the whole wedding party were delightful and Claire was lovely. The Waterside has a brilliant location and sits right on the Ayrshire coast in the West of Scotland, during your day you have a garden, function rooms and bar all to yourself without any of the hotel guests coming in.  The day itself at the Waterside went off swimmingly, the weather was very very windy and cold with showers however we managed to get down to the beach for a few photos.  The highlight of the day has to be the best man speech! He made up a video of him being in Claire and Andrews house, cycling round the town wearing a dress, before it started he pretended to forget his speech rush out and then came back in with the dress on was hilarious, I really do love an original speech and not one from Google (take note best men, avoid the Bangor joke!).
