Debbie and Andrew
Debbie and Andrews wedding was supposed to be on the 8th August 2020, but because of covid it was delayed so they finally got their big day on the 4th March 2022. I was really looking forward to their wedding as it was my first time photographing in Trump Turnberry and love a wee change of venue. Andrew had surprised Debbie with the booking of the Norman suite for a few days and it was a great place to get wedding ready with a lot of space for her three bridesmaids and flower girl . Debbie had Claire Montgomery for hair and Kymm Lacrombe for makeup, always a pleasure to work with these two and felt great to be back doing what I love (first all day wedding of 2022). We had a very relaxed morning getting ready and everyone was rather chilled, Andrew arrived with his boys in a Phantom Rolls Royce. The ceremony was in the Crystal Ballroom and conducted by Jennifer Lawrie. After the ceremony we popped out for a group photo and then went to the lighthouse for photos. Although we were lucky with the dry weather which certainly isn’t guaranteed in Scotland, it was rather windy at the lighthouse so much so Debbie’s veil blew off and was caught by the chauffeur which gave us all a laugh.
After photos, it was time to head back and get some group photos which we did in the ceremony room due to it being rather cold and windy. We then moved to the Caledonia Ballroom for the meal, where the speeches were a great laugh and the grooms father even got a wee birthday cake. I also had my meal with the guest and wow it was just fantastic. Once the meal was finished it was time to go next door for some drinks and laughs. At this point I usually mingle about getting candids and asking if any one wants any photos. The room was turned around and it was time for the cake cutting and first dance. We had such a brilliant day and I really enjoyed being at Turnberry, staff and service was fantastic.
