A Stunning Wedding at Ardoch: Liam and Adele’s Big Day
Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Liam and Adele’s beautiful wedding at Ardoch, a venue that has quickly become one of my favourites. Set in the stunning Scottish countryside, this was my first time shooting at Ardoch, and I instantly fell in love with the breath taking scenery. If I could, I’d buy a house up that way—it’s simply that gorgeous!
Ardoch is a hidden gem, offering stunning views that were the perfect backdrop for Liam and Adele’s wedding day. The couple had full access to the venue for the weekend, allowing them to truly enjoy and make the most of their special day. From the rolling hills to the pristine lawns, every corner of this venue provided a picturesque setting for their celebration. The fact that profits from the venue go to the CHAS charity made it all the more special, giving the day an added sense of purpose.
Liam and Adele both got ready at Ardoch, which gave me the opportunity to capture the excitement of their wedding prep in such a relaxed and serene setting. The morning was filled with excitement, and having both the bride and groom preparing on-site made it easier to capture all those important pre-ceremony moments. The couple couldn’t have asked for a better location to prepare for the biggest day of their lives.
One of the most meaningful and unique moments of Liam and Adele’s wedding day was their tree planting ceremony—a first for me as a wedding photographer! They brought a small tree and soil from their own garden to incorporate as part of the ceremony. During the ceremony, both Liam and Adele added the soil from their home into the base of the tree, symbolizing the roots they are putting down together as a married couple. They plan to plant the tree in their garden, allowing it to grow as a lasting symbol of their union. It was such a personal and beautiful touch to the day, and it made their ceremony truly one-of-a-kind.
One of the highlights of the day was the outdoor ceremony. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather, which meant Liam and Adele could say their vows surrounded by the incredible natural beauty of Ardoch’s grounds. The sun was shining, and the setting was absolutely perfect for an outdoor ceremony. I was able to capture the emotions of the day with stunning natural light, adding to the beauty of the photos.
As the day progressed, we were blessed with a gorgeous golden hour, which provided the perfect opportunity for those romantic, soft-lit photos every couple dreams of. The sunset cast a beautiful warm glow over the landscape, and the photos turned out absolutely stunning.
I also had the chance to use my drone for the second time ever! Ardoch’s vast and scenic surroundings were ideal for drone shots, allowing me to capture unique aerial views of the venue and the couple that added a new dimension to their wedding album. It’s not every day you get the chance to capture a wedding from the sky, and the results were nothing short of breath taking.
Liam and Adele chose Package Three, which includes a wedding album. The album has been ordered, and I’m excited to see it come together as a lasting keepsake for the couple. There’s something incredibly special about having physical prints to hold and treasure, especially when it’s from such a memorable day. I always encourage couples to choose an album as part of their package—it’s a beautiful way to relive the magic of their wedding day for years to come. They also booked when I was doing an offer for a free highlight video (which are now available to add on to your package) you can view it here – video
If you’re planning your wedding and haven’t considered Ardoch, I highly recommend it. The venue’s stunning scenery, fantastic facilities, and the fact that your booking contributes to CHAS charity make it a win-win for everyone. As a photographer, I can’t wait for the chance to shoot at this venue again—it’s a dream location for any couple looking for a scenic, peaceful setting. Liam and Adele’s wedding was truly a joy to capture, and I’m thrilled to have been a part of their day.
