A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. As a photographer who covers mainly weddings and children’s photoshoots, I’m no stranger to divas. Normally it’s me acting the diva when the rain gets in the way of my shoot. So when I heard these two little words I knew I had to jump at the chance to be part of an ‘out of this world’ gig: Ewan McGregor. Comic Con Scotland was held this weekend in the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh and what a show that was for everyone there. I was asked to take the ‘meet and greet’ with photographs. Well what can I say? Some of the planets biggest stars, who were the loveliest you’ll ever meet. To name but a few: Mara Wilson, the child star of ‘Matilda’, ‘Mrs Doubtfire’ and ‘Miracle on 34th Street.’ All grown up but instantly recognisable. Graham McTavish too – such a recognisable face from many a TV programme such as ‘Outlander’ and ‘House of the Dragon.’ Ross Marquand who plays Aaron in ‘The Walking Dead.’ Look up his impressions – the guy is superb. And my favourite of the day: Alicia Silverstone. Star of ‘Clueless’ and ‘Batman and Robin.’ What a wonderfully down to earth woman. She made everyone feel so special. Sadly I was unable to pin Mr McGregor down for a photo. I did catch a fleeting glimpse though. Totally worth it. And remember to ask me about the divas next time I see you.
